We awoke to a brighter start than yesterday with not a hint of mist or rain following a fantastic dinner the night before with our friendly hosts. Bags were hastily loaded in the van and we left the hotel at 7:45, to a much quieter journey to the range. We arrived to find we could see the targets easily today as the weather was glorious sunshine, with not a cloud to be seen and yesterday's waterproofs were replaced by sun cream. Today was the first team match, NRA v Guernsey, and the team of 8 proved that the practised team drills over the last few months were worth it. Everything ran smoothly and there was some excellent shooting with a spate of 50's over the 3 ranges, with ourselves winning the overall match by 15 points.

The overall scores were:

NRA team 1177.146

GRC team 1162.111

NRA reserves 291.27

GRC reserves 278.20 We were then greeted by a lovely spread for lunch kindly prepared by our delightful hosts and special thanks must go to Cherry. We returned to the range to shoot the final 600 yards individual of which the 500 yards was shot yesterday. A short prize giving presentation then took place when commemorative gifts were exchanged between teams and we then departed for the ferry to Jersey to continue the second leg of our tour.
